The actress is currently in New York filming Hawkeye, but has been also doing press for her show, Dickinson. When talking about the second season, she spoke about the differences from first season Emily to the second season.
“Using Emily Dickinson‘s poetry as a starting point for anything creative results in pure wildness,” Hailee says in a new featurette, via ET. “After season one, Emily can call herself a writer. With season two, the changing pace of media and technology that sort of led to this explosion of celebrity culture is what I was really excited to dig into.”
“This season takes you to places that you would never expect,” she added. “It’s more sophisticated, it’s sexier, and it’s more mature. It’s about self discovery and growth, and fame, and the dangers of fame in the 1800s. All through a modern lens.”
We’re looking forward to the second season and seeing how Emily has evolved. Are you excited for the second season?
