Demi Lovato has never been one to mince words, but that’s kind of what we love about her. She tells her truth.
Even if the truth is hard to hear.
We had told you that Demi has a four part YouTube documentary coming up and the trailer was released today. And the trailer taught us a lot.
Demi revealed that when she had her infamous overdose she also had a heart attack and three strokes.
“I had three strokes. I had a heart attack. My doctors said that I had five to ten more minutes,” Demi said when speaking about her 2018 near fatal overdose. Our mouths dropped to the floor over this.
We knew that it had been bad, but we didn’t know how bad. And we’re sure this only touches the tip of the iceberg.
The trailer not only shows her past, but it also does show really current events. We see her engagement, as well as her haircut. I don’t know about you, but we didn’t expect that to happen. Personally, I had thought it would have cut off at a certain point in time.
“I’ve had a lot of lives. I’m like a cat, you know? I’m on my ninth life. I’m ready to get back to doing what I love, which is making music. I’m not living my life for other people or their headlines or their Twitter comments,” she said in the trailer.
We applaud that.
