For the longest time, Law & Order: SVU was all about Benson and Stabler. And now that Stabler’s back, the obsession with Elliot and Olivia is in full force again. But there’s another couple that we love: Amanda Rollins and Dominick Carisi. And it looks like the show is finally going to give them to us.
SVU has been teasing Rollins (Kelli Giddish) and Carisi (Peter Scanavino) for a while. He likes her, she likes him, he’s good with her kids. So what’s the problem? We’ve been waiting years, yes, years, for these two to happen. We admit, we weren’t crazy about Carisi when he first showed up on SVU. But we’ve grown to love him. Same with Rollins. These two just started out as colleagues. Then they became friends. Best friends. Can they now be together?
We hoped that we would get something in the season finale, and it seemed like Finn’s wedding (or non-wedding) was the perfect place to start their relationship. And we were right! Rollins and Carisi finally kissed! It was everything we hoped it would be.
We weren’t the only ones that were excited after the Rollins and Carisi kiss. “Rollins and Carisi” was trending on Twitter right after the episode ended and social media was exploding with posts about them.
Seriously, these two have so much chemistry. They spend their nights off together watching TV, cooking dinner (well, he cooks) and spending time with her kids. They are perfect for each other. Rollins hasn’t had the best history with men, and we’re happy that she has a good guy for once. She better hold on to him!
Seriously, how adorable are they? We really hope that at the beginning of next season Rollins and Carisi are officially a couple. We need happy couples on TV, and SVU definitely needs some happiness. We’re already looking forward to the fall and more scenes with Rollins and Carisi.
