Aimee Garcia is heading from Netflix to Hulu! The Lucifer star is set to join the Hulu comedy Woke during its second season. And no, don’t you worry, Lucifer fans, that means absolutely nothing for Ella’s future in the last season of the show. Lucifer season 6 has already finished filming, and so whatever happens to our favorite scientist is already set in stone.
*fingers crossed for a happy ending*
We had a chance to talk to Garcia recently, around the release of Lucifer season 5B, and we confirmed what we already knew, she’s one of the hardest-working people in Hollywood. On top of working on Lucifer, she co-wrote a sequel to 47 Ronin for Universal alongside her writing partner AJ Mendez, and she also penned a Wonder Woman Black & Gold comic for DC with Mendez, which is set to be released in August.
But it seems Garcia isn’t done being in front of the cameras. In Woke she will play Laura Salgado, “a likeable but formidable self-made Silicon Valley venture capitalist who is interested in working with Knight,” who is the main character. Hopefully, this character will find a way to touch our hearts, like Ella.
