The Netflix event TUDUM gave us a new sneak peek of what’s to come when Stranger Things returns for season 4. And honestly, we’ve got theories about what the Creel House is all about and why it’s being introduced when the hit series returns. So, check out the teaser trailer and read on for what we think will happen, from what will bring Eleven (Millie Bobby Brown) back to Hawkins and how we get Hopper back!
1. The Creel House mystery will bring back Eleven.
For months we’ve been picking our brains at what would bring back Eleven and the rest of the fam. It wasn’t going to be Mike (Finn Wolfhard); their love is still too fresh and new. And it wasn’t going to be the Rainbow Room and all the trauma that comes with it. But if the fate of the world is hanging in the balance, she will come back. She will save the day. And she will face the challenges ahead of her. The only thing we wonder is…what kind of young woman has she transformed into in her time away? And how will this experience in season 4 change her again?
2. What’s been happening at Hawkins is more complicated than we thought.
We thought that the Rainbow Room and all the experimentation started with Eleven, her mom, and that infamous building they escaped from. But it’s always bigger than that. What if the darkness surrounding Hawkins has always been there. Maybe that’s why the government decided that Hawkins was a perfect place to set up a station to experiment on the town and those within the main buildings walls. With what we’ve seen in this Creel House trailer for season 4 of Stanger Things, it’s not out of the realm of possibility. The question now is how will the past allow the darkness to return? Because you know it’s back…
3. Creel House brings Hopper one step closer to coming back.
There’s no way that Eleven and the gang are going to Kamchatka, Russia. There are passports, travel, and expenses. And we don’t think they have the funding or contacts for any of that. So how are they going to find their connection to Hopper (David Harbour)? Creel House. As we’ve seen in the past, Eleven has been able to astral project and go to places that are far. What’s stopping her from stepping into the darkness and finding a way to travel through it and get to Hopper. The only thing we’re worried about is the cost. Because Eleven is strong, but there has to be a price for looking into the darkness.
4. Steve is going to be the best mom in Hawkins. Robin the daddy.
As a member of the Steve Harrington (Joe Keery) Fanclub, we’ve been waiting to see more of this brunette beauty. And it’s to our delight that this trailer gave us more of that. Not only that, he’s with his children. Now we already knew Steve was a good mom. He’s had his kid’s backs for ages. But this time around we feel like he’s going to be the BEST mom in Hawkins. With being the best mom comes forging new connections with the rest of his kids. And who will be there to help him? His partner in crime Robin (Maya Hawke) who will no doubt be the daddy that everyone, including us, needs.
5. We’ll get to see kid Hopper.
If we’re getting flashbacks to a time before Eleven and the gang were around then we’re going to see more of the characters we know and love like Hopper. Hell, maybe we’ll even get Joyce (Winona Ryder). We would love to know who they were in season one of Stranger Things and how their lives have been connected for longer than anyone has shown us before. After all, we think these two belong together and the show is hopefully going to give both of them the happiness they deserve at each other’s side.
Stranger Things is set to premiere in 2022.
