The world lost a wonderful actor way too soon when Willie Garson passed away earlier this month. We wanted to pay tribute to him and remember some of his best work.
Garson is probably best known for playing Stanford Blatch, Carrie’s best friend, on Sex and the City. He also had several guest appearances on numerous shows including Hawaii Five-O. But our favorite role of his was Mozzie on White Collar. It probably comes as no surprise that we love bromances here at Fangirlish, and White Collar had one of the best with Mozzie and Neal (played by the fabulous Matt Bomer.)

Mozzie wasn’t the typical character or friend, but that’s why we liked him. Some of, well, most, of the things he did weren’t legal, but he would do anything for his best friend. He was hilarious, and Garson and Bomer were great on screen together. Garson made us fall in love with Mozzie over the series of the show, and we’ll definitely never forget him.
If you’ve never seen White Collar, definitely put it on your list of shows to watch. We promise you won’t regret it. It originally aired on the USA Network, but it’s currently streaming on Hulu.

We weren’t the only ones shocked and devastated by Willie Garth’s passing. Co-stars, friends, and fans, including Bomer, posted their tributes and memories on social media all week long.
Garson was only 57 years old which makes his passing shocking and even sadder. But just like we’ll never forget Mozzie, we’ll always remember Willie Garson. And, of course, our thoughts are with Garson’s family and friends.
