Much to Yolanda’s disapproval, Courtney and Cindy team up to stop Eclipso in Stargirl 2×12, “Summer School: Chapter Twelve.” The penultimate episode of a season is the perfect time for two unlikely characters to find common ground for the greater good.
This duo sets up the chance for so many unexpected turns. Of course, there’s always the chance that Cindy could turn on Courtney. But, there’s an opportunity for humor to shine as Cindy and Courtney learn to work together.
They’re both leaders of their respective teams of superheroes and supervillains. Undoubtedly, the two will bump heads regarding plans, execution of said plans, and petty things that will make the scenes an absolute thrill to watch.
Plus, Stargirl circles back around to two characters the show’s been holding back on for quite some time: Jakeem and Rick. Mike, still looking for a way to help his family, tracks down Thunderbolt at Jakeem’s house.
Despite supposedly being friends, most of Mike and Jakeem’s friendship has taken place off-screen. However, Thunderbolt has a knack for finding those who need his companionship (and wish-granting abilities) the most.
Maybe Thunderbolt is what Mike and Jakeem need to strengthen their friendship and become official JSA members. Meanwhile, Pat finally remembers that one of the JSA members is in jail and could help.
There’s a lot to look forward to in “Summer School: Chapter Eleven,” but we can’t forget that it’s a penultimate episode. That alone means there will be twists and turns that keep us guessing until the season finale.
Let’s not forget Sylvester Pemberton is still out there, somewhere, looking for Pat Dugan. So now would be the most inconvenient and unexpected time for Starman to make his fate known and return to Blue Valley.
