Earlier this week, Cam Newton wanted everyone to know what a real woman is. And we have a few thoughts about his comments.
First, if you’re not a football fan, let us give you some background on Cam Newton. He used to be a good quarterback. However, he really hasn’t been relevant in football since February 2016 after the Denver Broncos kicked his butt in Super Bowl 50.
Now, in order to stay relevant, he’s decided to talk about what he thinks a woman should be on Barstool Sports‘ “Million Dollaz Worth of Game” podcast. If you don’t cook, then you’re not a “bad bitch.” He also said that women “don’t know when to be quiet.”
He continues by saying, “Now a woman for me is, handling your own but knowing how to cater to a man’s needs.”

So to sum it all up: We must cook, be quiet, and please men. Got it.
We have a rebuttal. We would like to tell Cam that it’s his turn to listen. Stop telling us what makes women “real.” We didn’t ask your opinion, and we’re pretty tired of men giving us advice on how to be a woman.
This isn’t the first time Cam has said questionable things about women. Back in 2017 he said it was “funny to hear a female talk about routes” when reporter Jourdan Rodrigue interviewed him after a Carolina Panthers game. And it’s definitely not the first time he’s been in the news for other things besides sports. But that’s a story for a different day.
Now that Cam Newton has given us some advice, here’s ours: Maybe focus on the fact that your career is tanking and worry about where you’re going to play football next season (that is if anyone still wants you) and less about what you think a “real woman” is. We promise you: no one is asking your advice right now. About how to be a women OR playing football.
What do you think about Cam Newton’s comments? We would love to know.
