We’re less than a month out from the premiere of Interview with the Vampire. So, to get us ready, AMC has released a new trailer and key art for the long-awaited series. And, well, let’s just say we’re not so sure we can keep being satisfied with just “the little drink.” As in, once we do get to finally sink our teeth into this one, all bets are off. We’re not sure we’ll be able to stop before the heart stops.
(If you know, you know.)
The first trailer, released at SDCC 2022, played up the horror and the drama while teasing a little bit about the relationship between Louis and Lestat. The latest trailer, however, is much, much more clear: This horror story is also a romance, and instead of merely hinting at something between these two leading men, this series is showcasing it. We’ve got Louis calling Lestat his “lover” at one point, Lestat trying to get in on Louis’ action, and so much more.
All we’ve got to say to all of that is bring it. Because, while we don’t recall ever seeing the phrase “hot AF” in any of Lestat de Lioncourt’s Anne Rice’s books, we’re not exactly complaining about being able to apply it here. Quite the opposite.
“Let the tale seduce you, just as I was seduced.”
We’re also just going to sit with the clips of the Brat Prince and his fledgling in period dress, even with the setting’s move from 1791 to 1910, for a minute.
Like, look at them!

After seeing this latest footage, we really can’t wait for everyone to get to experience Jacob Anderson and Sam Reid in these roles. Actually, we just…can’t wait in general.
