There is no bond like the one of sisters. It’s like having a build in best friend, as well as a built in worst enemy. The sibling bond is a very unique thing and well, it’s quite educational.
Like it can teach us how to grow and how fine the line of emotions are and how we can easily go from love to hate and back again.
When you look at famous siblings, you can’t help but think that they have always gotten along? They seem like they have cause they seems as though they are best of friends.
And then you have to remember that it probably took a second to get there. And that includes the D’Amelio sisters.
The two were recently on The Drew Barrymore Show and she asked them about sisterly relationships. Drew is a mom of two girls and she wanted to know “when should I lean in, when should I lean out?”
And that’s when the sisters admitted that they used to hate each other.
“We like hated each other, like absolutely hated each other,” Dixie said about the twos relationship. She continued by saying it was, “all of middle school until we got into high school together.”
“Then we became best friends she would come with me to every party on the weekend. It just happened out of nowhere though. Like we would go weeks without talking.”
“And now we live together just us two, so it’s pretty fun. I noticed the times it gets annoying when we fight is when they chime in and they are like, ‘What are you guys arguing about?’ And we were already over it,” Charli went on to add about their current relationship.
But in answer to Drews question Dixie added, “When parents get involved in siblings fights I think that makes it so much worse because we are done.”
And hey, Dixie isn’t wrong. Drew thanked the two for the advice, as they affirmed that her instincts are right of when to lean in and when to lean out.
