This was a pretty fun episode of 9-1-1. We know fun probably isn’t the first thing you think of with the title “Cursed”, but it was. The episode focused on the 118 rescuing the same girl over and over again who is convinced she’s cursed. But is she? The 118, specifically Eddie, has doubts.
Bad Luck Curse?
“Cursed” begins with Felisa getting a bracelet in the mail that is supposed to help her with her luck. The bracelet was $20,000 and apparently from the ruins of Pompeii. I’m sorry, but that bracelet is ugly. And we can’t imaging anyone in their right mind would pay anything close to that amount for it. And apparently, Felisa’s assistant didn’t pay that much for it, either. More on that later.
To say the bracelet doesn’t work in an understatement. As soon as Felisa gets it, a chandelier falls on top of her. Felisa and her assistant explain the bracelet and the curse, and Eddie is very skeptical. We can’t say we blame him. But as the episode goes on, more and more weird things happen to Felisa. She has a wax incident that we know probably was painful, but we couldn’t help but laugh. After her assistant gets stabbed by a crystal and a fire breaks out, everyone figures out that Felisa isn’t cursed. The guy that made the bracelet was trying to get it back and caused all of these things to happen. It was a fake the whole entire time.

We were a little surprised that it wasn’t the assistant causing all of these issues. She seemed super sketchy and Eddie’s suspicions casued us to believe she was the bad guy here. Well, she was stealing from Felisa so she wasn’t exactly innocent. And when the chandelier fell, her reaction was to worry about money. Yeah… she’s a great friend.
“She’s not paralyzed, right? That would severly impact her future revenue stream.”
Eddie obviously didn’t believe in any of this, but Hen and Chim definitely started buying into it. They were not happy to find the bracelet at the fire house, and it was so fun to watch their reactions We honestly enjoyed the entire team being together this episode. It seems like it’s been a long time since that’s happened. And Hen is back to stay. We definitely needed a fun episode like this.

Other Thoughts:
- While we’re still not sure about this Buck sperm donation storyline, it was funny watching his string of bad luck this week. And seeing how everyone at 118 reacted after learning what he was doing.
- Was it just our imagination, or did Eddie and Felisa have a spark? We wouldn’t mind seeding her again.
- If we haven’t said it enough, we’re so glad to have Hen back full time as a permanent member of the 118.
