Even if you don’t believe in the magic of summers, we can guarantee you that any The Summer I Turned Pretty reader/fan/aficionado can tell you just why summers are magical. We can tell you why life needs to be lived in summers and why it is that the people that define their lives in that.
As we fast approach season two of the hit Prime Video show, we’re prepping for the return to Cousin’s Beach with a rewatch of the first season. We (and by we, I mean me) are Team Conrad til we die (and even more after that), and having read the books know that Season 2 of the show is going to be PAINFUL.
But that won’t stop us from going through the motions so our ending can pay off (assuming we get the ending from the series). We have our ship and we’ll die by it.
As we prepare for our return to Cousin’s on June 14th, 2023, we’re also prepping our rewatch of the first season. We need to feel like we’ve traveled to Cousin’s, that we’re part of the crew, and that we’re counting our lives in summers.

The Summer I Turned Pretty, It’s Not Summer Without You, and We’ll Always Have Summer. These three books are some of Jenny Han’s best work and the best thing is that she brings them to life with such great ease – that reading the books or watching the television show, you’re believing in the magic that you feel when you discover a great story.
And the story of Belly, Jeremiah, and Conrad is one of the greats.
It’s no surprise think that one of the most important things to do when you are watching a television show or a movie is to read the books. You can make the choice if you want to before or after. But, with this, we’d suggest you know your source material.

We are aware that we will be waiting for quite sometime before we get more of The Summer I Turned Pretty series, we’re loving this collection with American Eagle. From the Team Belly shirt (which everyone should always choose themselves first) to the Team Jeremiah to the Team Conrad shirt, The Infinity Hat, The Denim Bucket Hat , The Zip Up Hoodie, they are a million things to choose from. We’ve spent a fortune, but our fave is definitely the zip up hoodie.

Personally this writer is pissed that these aren’t available anywhere in a size 11, because they would be the only thing that graced these feet. Sperry, which is one of the worlds most comfy shoes, has come out with a collab that would make us ready for any summer adventure at Cousins Beach. The memory foam footbed and barrel-tied rawhide laces, the stitching and the beautiful green accents… yes please. Not to mention it’s the closest that we’ll ever get to nautical.
It’s the daisies and the gingham accents for us.
The Summer I Turned Pretty 2024 Wall Calendar
We know that we’re going to have a wait until we get the third season of the hit Prime Video show and TBH that makes us a little sad. So, we’ll be getting ourselves this calendar in order to have something to look forward to each month.
A countdown to the next and memories of the past. This calendar will grace our walls with all of the pretty.
It’s on preorder right now, but does ship in August. Its’s even got the bonus months of September – December 2023. So we can start counting down as soon as this season ends.

We’d say that we don’t like to choose teams, but this is the time and we are fully aware of the fact that is what happens. Ships happen. You don’t choose the ship, it chooses you.
And as we learned when reading the second book in the series, we knew, the line was drawn and we would have to choose our team. We know it’s not easy, but you’ll know when you know.
