Have to admit that, to a point, we’re afraid of anything having to Wonka. Charlie and the Chocolate Factory was such a great movie, and though we understand expanding universes, we’re still allowed to be scared of it. Lets be honest with each other – not a lot of people expand universes well.
And it doesn’t matter that Timothée Chalamet is leading the movie. That doesn’t make us feel at ease. Especially because when watching the trailer, we were more fascinated with Hugh Grant as the Oompa Loompa.
Three clips from the movie were released and ya, we’re still not sold.
Here’s the synopsis of the movie, “Based on the extraordinary character at the center of Charlie and the Chocolate Factory, Roald Dahl’s most iconic children’s book and one of the best-selling children’s books of all time, “Wonka” tells the wondrous story of how the world’s greatest inventor, magician and chocolate-maker became the beloved Willy Wonka we know today.”
Besides Timothee Chalamet , Wonka stars Peter Joseph, Hugh Grant, Rich Fulcher, Kobna Holdbrook-Smith, Calah Lane, Colin O’Brien, Rahkee Thakrar, Ellie White, Murray McArthur and Tracy Ifeachor also star.
Wonka is set to hit theaters on December 15, 2023.
