We were watching Tracker the other day and noticed a familiar face – Melissa Roxburgh. Now, knowing the way that this writer felt about Manifest, you would think that the channel was changed. Shocking surprise – it wasn’t. First, Tracker is intriguing and well, she’s a good actress.
And speaking of her – her next gig has been booked and we have to admit, we’ll be watching.
The actress has been cast as the lead in The Hunting Party, an upcoming crime procedural from NBC. The show is described as, “a small team of investigators who are assembled to track down and capture the most dangerous killers our country has ever seen, all of whom have just escaped from a top-secret prison that’s not supposed to exist.”
Shows like FBI: Most Wanted scares us silly because dangerous killers and most wanted criminals. Does mean that we won’t give this show a try? Nope. We will.
Roxburgh’s character is Rebecca “Bex” Henderson. The character is described as a, “shrewd, steadfast and obsessively curious, Bex is an ex-FBI agent recruited to an elite government task force due to her reputation as a savvy profiler who’s caught some of the world’s most dangerous serial killers.”
The show comes from the mind of JJ Bailey, who also wrote the pilot of The Hunting Party. He’ll serves as an executive producer and co-show runner. Serving the same way (EP and co-showrunner) will be Jake Coburn.
We’ll be standing by to see what this show is like. It definitely has piqued our interest.
What about you?
