An new deal between Noah Hawley, the creator of Alien: Earth, and FX/Disney Entertainment Television has sealed the fate of the sci-fi series. And thankfully, it’s good news.
According to FX, Alien: Earth has been renewed for Season 2, with filming beginning in London next year. “I’m thrilled that this expanded deal opens the door to new opportunities across all of Disney Entertainment Television,” said Hawley. And though the terms of the new deal haven’t been revealed, Hawley’s partnership with FX began with FX’s Fargo in 2014. And, to date through five installments, the show has won 7 Emmy® Awards and 3 Golden Globe® Awards.

We can’t wait to get to work on the next season of Alien: Earth, as well as some equally exciting future projects in advanced development.”
Season 1 of the series, inspired by Sir Ridley Scott’s legendary sci-fi thriller film Alien, starred Sydney Chandler and showcased an ensemble cast that includes Alex Lawther, Timothy Olyphant, Essie Davis, Samuel Blenkin, Babou Ceesay, David Rysdahl, Adrian Edmondson, Adarsh Gourav, Jonathan Ajayi, Erana James, Lily Newmark, Diem Camille, and Moe Bar-El.
