The hacking attempt that started in “Good Southern Manors” has led to 9-1-1: Nashville Season 1 Episode 8 “All Hands.” And it’s plain to see that whatever this hacker is planning or doing, the lives of the people of Nashville are of no consequence to them.
In “All Hands” they emphasize that the ransom demands are tied to the actual 9-1-1 call center. And it continues to spark conversation as to how the technology that we’re being offered up on the daily as making our lives easier, is also endangering us. Because all it took was one hacker to completely destroy these systems and bring the city to a halt. That’s not making people’s lives easier. That’s causing more damage.

We can see a lot of the damage that the hacker has helped inflict throughout the city in the promo and photos for this episode. The team is spending a little bit more time in the hospital than usual. And we’re once again reminded that Ryan actually has a whole wife that he almost got divorced from, they decided to stay together, and we really haven’t seen much of her since then. But we do see his wife Samantha talking to grandpa Edward. It can mean nothing. But Ryan is already annoyed with Frank after the events of “You’ve Been Boarded.”
Nevertheless, my main worry for 9-1-1: Nashville “All Hands” is who is the insider that has helped this hacker get to where they are now. We’ve barely established this show but I know it’s not going to be Cammie. But hopefully it won’t be Lorna or Stanley either. 9-1-1: Nashville barely has any people of color, besides Roxie and Taylor, and I would like the show that sells itself as being set in one of the most diverse cities in the United States to actually be diverse.
