We watch a lot of TV and movies! So yeah, we’re fangirling over a lot of things! Each week we come together to highlight all the feels they give us throughout the week. On these Fangirlish Feels of the Week, there are five categories and many thoughts! Ready?
Here we go!
Best Scene of the Week

Raquel: Daphne and Ava talking about systemic racism during this week’s High Potential. I could only listen, learn, and help them kick the a**es of those who make them feel less.
Rachel: It’s brief but I keep thinking about Mabel’s breakdown in Pixar’s Hoppers. She runs into obstacle after obstacle in her quest to save the beautiful glade that was the special place she shared with her grandmother. She really seems to be fighting all alone and it looks like she won’t succeed. And she is single-minded in her pursuit of this goal the entire time her consciousness is in the robot beaver. (Yeah, this may be most bonkers movie Pixar has ever done.) The setbacks become too much. When she sobs, “Why doesn’t anyone else care?” it’s so relatable. Given everything going on in the world right now, it’s so easy to feel like we’re struggling against too much. This one just really hit me.
Lizzie: Look, that scene where Eddie runs towards Buck near the end of this week’s 9-1-1 has to be it. That was the most romantic, supposedly platonic thing I’ve ever seen. And the little convo? “You should see the other guy?”/”I’m the other guy”/”I know.” What are we doing? I have no idea, but whatever we’re doing, I’m in! I loved it. Give me more.
Erin: I have been watching a lot of vertical/microdramas lately. This week, I watched Falling For My Bodyguard, and the final scene in the drama made me stand up and clap. Joseph Purcell is an actor that I really love in verticals and there isn’t one where he’s not able to pull off strong and innocent, love and hate all in the same tone. But when he answered the question the female lead asked with “both” I had faith in the world again. Well, the vertical world that is. Not the dumpster fire world.
Ship of the Week

JEFF KOBER, OLIVER STARK, RYAN GUZMAN
Aracelis: My immediate thought is Buck and Eddie. This week’s episode of 9-1-1 was a darker episode, but it really showcased their relationship. Buck and Eddie are more than friends — I will accept nothing else, haha — but even so, they have a bond like no other. Buck was willing to die for Eddie.. die, okay! They truly feel like they’re becoming canon right in front of my eyes. There were also so many moments in this episode where they were mistaken for a couple, which honestly hasn’t happened this much since Season 2, so Buddie fans are really up right now.
Rachel: I have to go with Martin and Louisa on Best Medicine for this one! WE GOT A FIRST KISS THIS WEEK! Josh Charles and Abigail Spencer have good chemistry, so the kiss itself was very effective, and their performances were excellent. Of course, this is TV, so Martin backtracked almost immediately afterwards. This is only the tenth episode of the first season, so we’re going to have to settle in for a slower burn, but I’m going to hope this gives the writers the chance to build up every moment like this between them into a BIG DEAL. A girl can dream, right?
Lizzie: Mackey and JD on this week’s NCIS: Sydney. I love how Mackey was like “I’m going to go lone wolf,” and then that lasted for 0.3 seconds as soon as JD came to find her. The best partners.
Best Performance of the Week

Raquel: Melissa O’Neil on this week’s The Rookie. The way she made me feel everything that happened to Lucy—the fear, the guilt, the shock—she was brilliant.
Lizzie: Oliver Stark on this week’s 9-1-1. That scene when he was tied up, and he was talking about Bobby? How did he make me cry in the middle of this episode? And when Buck woke up, he was looking for Eddie? A+.
Erin: Necar Zadegan in CIA. This woman is so good in all the things she does, but the way that she pulls off her character being detained and possibly tortured without batting an eye, I was like that’s a superhero. She really pulls off making every female character one to admire and a reminder that we can do anything.
Moment that Annoyed Us This Week

Raquel: Amy’s death in Outlander. We’re going to miss her. I didn’t like her at all in the book because I didn’t see it necessary, and I felt the same way about the show, although I appreciate that the series took the time to connect her death to what’s happening with Cunningham and to give Amy some time to show that she was loved.
Erin: In Love Story, watching all the paps swarm JFK and CBK annoyed me so much. It was a moment where I had to sit back and reexamine my relationship with the media. I know it was the 90’s but we still play into paps now-a-days and I don’t think that we should. Sarah Pidgeon pulled off this strong AF performance as CBK and her breaking down over the media – I felt guilty for all the magazines I bought in the 90s/2000s.
Quote of the Week

Raquel: “What was his name?” “Martin, his name was Martin.” — Lucy and Nolan in ABC’s The Rookie.
Aracelis: “You should see the other guy…” “I am the other guy.” “I know.” — Eddie & Buck, 9-1-1.
Erin: “Both” – William, Falling for My Bodyguard on CandyJar
