Athena being shot in 9-1-1 “I Got You Babe” sets the stage for a whole bunch of pain in 9-1-1 Season 9 Episode 18 “Hearts and Flowers.”
Last we left off things were coming together for Athena when it came to the investigation about the migrants that were trafficked. And as viewers we were lured into a false sense of security that everything would be solved by the icon Athena. Instead she was shot by Detective Hooks during the raiding of the man seemingly responsible for the illegal trafficking.
Now in “Hearts and Flowers” Athena has been rushed to the hospital in grave condition.
In the photos for this episode we see Harry absolutely distraught as his mother is brought in. The other firefighters hold him back. We also see May joining the 118 as they wait for an update in a hospital waiting room. And there’s even photos of Eddie praying in what looks like a hospital church, looking as forlorn as we feel.
Then there’s the actual synopsis and promo for “Hearts and Flowers.” Because we don’t just have to worry about Athena. Apparently the mastermind behind Athena’s shooting is looking to finish the job, with the promo teasing that Eddie will be the one shot in the stomach. And as much as we love an epic finale, we really can’t handle losing someone else after the loss of Bobby.
