Every single time we think that we can quit an app, they find a way to draw us back in. And that is okay – because we love when things that we can’t wait to see on the screen. A screen that means that we can be laying down and watching the books that you read come to life in front of you.
And there is nothing like being able to watch something from the comfort of ones bed. Now, this writer has had Elsie Silver’s popular Rose Hill romance series on her shelf for a bit and now they will be read.
They will be read sooner because Prime Video is moving forward with bringing the Rose Hill series to life.
It was announced at the up fronts Heidi Cole McAdams was announced as showrunner. Marc Webb will be directing the first and second episode.
“Elsie Silver’s Rose Hill novels have resonated with millions of readers by blending sweeping romance with grounded, emotionally complex relationships,” Peter Friedlander, Head of Global Television, Amazon MGM Studios said in a statement. “It’s a world where love, loyalty, and identity collide in ways that feel both intimate and expansive. With Heidi Cole McAdams, Marc Webb, and our partners at Temple Hill, we’re excited to translate that richness to the screen for Prime Video audiences globally.”
The Rose Hill series consists of four novels — Wild Love, Wild Eyes, Wild Side, and Wild Card.
Rose Hill follows best friends and neighbors West Belmont, a rancher with commitment issues, and brooding record label owner Ford Grant, aka Forbes’ “World’s Hottest Billionaire,” who’s long carried a torch for West’s sister, Rosie. And when country-pop star Skylar Stone breezes into their rugged mountain town, the heat gets turned way up in this romantic family drama.
“Working with this team on the Rose Hill adaptation has been such a treat,” said Silver. “To see everyone’s hard work and creativity come to life on screen will be a dream come true!”
Elsie Silver also serves as executive producer alongside Wyck Godfrey, Marty Bowen, and James Seidman for Temple Hill. Temple Hill’s Annika Patton will also serve as a Co-Ep.
