If there is a sequel that we’ve been waiting for, it would be for the 1997 cult classic comedy Romy and Michele’s High School Reunion. If you haven’t watched it, you need to stop and watch it.
The movie is about: “Ten years after their high school graduation, Romy (Mira Sorvino) and Michele (Lisa Kudrow) haven’t exactly accomplished everything that they set out to do. Despite their strong friendship, their personal and professional lives are still lacking. When they hear of their upcoming high school reunion, they take it as an opportunity to show their classmates how much they’ve changed — first by trying to reform themselves, then by creating a lie that eventually spins out of control.”
And hey, it is non-stop funny. The best part is that original stars Lisa Kudrow and Mira Sorvino are attached, and it will stream on Hulu. Our Hulu prescription is coming in clutch.
The stars took to social media to announce that the sequel is in production.
The caption reads, “The reunion you’ve been waiting for! The Romy and Michele sequel is now in production.”
