Percy is at the heart of Every Year After. Intelligent, independent, and carrying years of history—and guilt—with the people around her, she returns to Barry’s Bay and finds herself confronting memories she hoped she had left behind. Her journey is the focus of the series.

Matt Cornett — Sam Florek
If you’ve heard anything about Every Year After, you’ve probably heard Sam’s name too. Percy may be the one returning to Barry’s Bay, but it’s impossible to separate her story from his. Their history hangs over much of what happens once they’re back in each other’s lives, and that’s part of what had readers so excited to see the adaptation. Whether things between them have changed or not is another question entirely.

Michael Bradway — Charlie Florek
Anyone who spends time around Sam will probably end up crossing paths with his brother Charlie as well. He knows Percy since forever. Charlie likes to keep things light and doesn’t takes himself too seriously but some parts of his life are a lot messier than he lets on.

Aurora Perrineau — Chantal
Percy doesn’t return to Barry’s Bay completely alone. Chantal is her best friend and she’s by her side no matter what. And that familiarity matters when so many other parts of Percy’s life have changed. The two known each other for a long time. Chantal is one of the few people Percy can be herself with.

Abigail Cowen — Delilah Mason
Some reunions are easier than others, and Percy quickly learns that when Delilah is back in her life. Seeing each other again is not something either of them expected. A lot changed since they were friends. And spending time together forces them into conversations they never had the chance to finish the first time around.

Joseph Chiu — Jordie Lin
Jordie is not the first character we mention when talking about Every Year After. But he’s part of the central story. He’s a friend for Percy, Sam, Delilah, and Charlie. And that place him close to many of the relationships that shape the story. So, it’s easy to see why readers needed to know how his role will translate to the screen.
