We watch a lot of TV and movies! So yeah, we’re fangirling over a lot of things! Each week we come together to highlight all the feels they give us throughout the week. On these Fangirlish Feels of the Week, there are five categories and many thoughts! Ready?

Best Scene of the Week
Raquel: I’m still watching Sullivan’s Crossing Season 3, and I loved the scene where Maggie finds out what happened to Liam and realizes he didn’t abandon her. I didn’t like what followed at all, but it was necessary for Maggie to begin healing from that wound.
Rachel: Can I go with real-life here? Because the moment during the Spaceballs: The New One panel at Comic Con when Rick Moranis appeared on stage to a standing ovation was wonderful. This man spent decades away from acting in order to raise his kids after losing his wife, so it was such a touching moment to see him return to the public sphere and be welcomed so warmly.
Ashley W.: Was I surprised by the ending of X-Men ‘97 season 2 episode 6: “Danger.Exe”? No. Did I still gasp anyway? Yes.
Ship of the Week
Raquel: I’m in the middle of School Spirits fever—I know, a little late—and I love Maddie and Wally together, they’re everything that’s right in this world.
Jasmine: Loustat reuniting in The Vampire Lestat Episode 1×07. When Lestat wakes after going through a near death experience, his immediate thought was of Louis. When he ran out of his bedroom and saw Louis sitting there, the relief on his face was beautiful. I loved the way they stared at each other and softly touched each other’s scars on their necks. It was like they needed proof that it actually happened. But also proof that they survived and made their way back to each other.
Gissane: Hadestown pro-shot released this week, and my heart is still in my throat and I’m fully back in my Orpheus and Eurydice era even if I’m crying about it. Their story continues to be so haunting and the emotions are all on full display in the pro-shot.
Rachel: I’m still in my Odysseus and Penelope era. I will never be over the version of them we got in Christopher Nolan’s The Odyssey. Other films and TV shows will come and go this year, with other amazing ships, but Matt Damon and Anne Hathaway’s interpretation of this couple is now a permanent OTP for me.
Best Performance of the Week

Raquel: Morgan Kohan in that scene where Maggie discovers the truth I was talking about earlier. She was brilliant.
Jasmine: Assad Zaman as Armand on The Vampire Lestat Episode 1×07. He absolutely owned his scenes. I loved this particular performance so much because Armand was so quiet and subdued this season but he was calculating every step of the way.
This final episode where he just let his rage take shape as he went off on Louis was intense. But then he still managed to make me feel for him as Louis laid out the abuse he faced as a child. Assad brought out the humanity in Armand that reminded the audience he was suffering from his own personal trauma as well.
Gissane: The entire cast of Hadestown. I’ve seen a lot of pro shots, but my God, the way they shot this is fantastic. Every actor brings their A-game in the best way, making the show even more haunting.
Ashley W.: Definitely agree with Gissane on this one! But special shoutouts to Eva Noblezada, Amber Gray, and Patrick Page. Their performances were all standouts that I’m so glad are preserved thanks to the Hadestown musical pro-shot’s existence.
Moment that Annoyed Us This Week
Raquel: The Sullivan’s Crossing love triangle. Maggie’s been in love with Cal for ages, and now I’m supposed to believe she still has feelings for Liam beyond their unresolved past? Nope, I’m not buying it.
Miah: Moments are more like it. Netflix’s Ransom Canyon season 2 was great in a lot of ways. In a lot of other ways, it felt rushed. Adding in a brother’s love triangle… just didn’t seem necessary. Also, Yancy finally getting away from one mess, only to keep thinking about oil? Make it make sense. While the men in this show may be called “Handsome Canyon”, they could also be called “Dumbsome Canyon”.
Rachel: Johnny Depp promoting Ebenezer at Comic Con. First of all, do we really need ANOTHER version of A Christmas Carol? And starring an abuser? Canel culture doesn’t really exist.
