Bailey, Jo, Simone, and more are adjusting to massive changes in Grey’s Anatomy Season 23, Episode 2, “Slippin’ and Sliddin’.” As the promo reveals, it gets its title from the medical case that Bailey and Blue happen upon. It seems like Blue may be visiting Bailey at school, where she’s studying public health, when things take a turn for the worst.
There looks to be a fraternity hazing mishap where a person is left injured after falling down stairs while wrapped in plastic wrap. That case will bring Bailey and Blue, who previously and understandably said he wanted to put some distance between himself and the hospital, to Grey Sloan Memorial. Elsewhere, Meredith and Seth continue to bump heads about the VIP floor. She seems to be splitting her time between Boston and Seattle to see out Charlie’s care. She told him that she’d advocate for his health, and Meredith’s determination to do so will likely only draw larger comparisons between the VIP floor and everything below it.
Grey’s Anatomy will also pick up after the season premiere’s cliffhanger: Simone is pregnant. It looks like Blue may be the first person who finds out when he finds Simone experiencing some morning sickness. He doesn’t push her for answers she doesn’t have but says, “Bryant? Adams? You don’t know? Cool.”
Meanwhile, Jo is adjusting to life away from the hospital. She quit her job and is no longer a resident so she has plenty of time on her hands. Maybe, just maybe, she has so much time on her hands that she’s starting to lose track of it. The promo for “Slippin’ and Slidin'” shows that Amelia and Toni (I love that they’re showing up for their friends as a couple!) stop by to support Jo. That visit looks to include some sewing and reminding Jo that she’s cooking mac and cheese.
