Grey’s Anatomy Season 23, Episode 4, “Love on the Brain,” makes Jules and Winston’s complicated break-up even more complicated. The promo video shows that Winston walks in when Jules and Link are working together on a patient who seems to have been injured during a marathon. When the patient asks if Winston is single, he’s honest that he is, which makes Jules roll her eyes in the background. Honestly, I’m more struck by Link and Jules having scenes together. It reminds me that when Jules first joined Grey’s Anatomy in Season 19, she and Link had hooked up. That feels like a lifetime ago now!
While Link is at work (the promotional materials don’t reveal any updates about his shoulder or the pain medication), Jo attends a birth trauma support group during “Love on the Brain.” Personally, I love that she’s taking this step for herself. The promo video shows that Jo is. a bit skeptical about it all, which is to be expected. I just hope that she gains or learns something from this experience. This storyline is also how Grey’s Anatomy will introduce Sarah Levy’s Corrie Witty, “a bit of an oddball who’s expecting her second child after a traumatic birth experience with her first,” per Shondaland.
There are also no sneak pees at Amelia’s next impossible case in the promo materials. I’m choosing to take that as a sign that Grey’s Anatomy doesn’t want anything spoiled — not that something will go wrong. On the other hand, the promo video teases that Bailey, who gets unfavorable feedback at school, will be visiting the Olympic Floor while Blue is up there for Norton. It seems like the case of the week up there will bring some family drama to a floor entirely built on drama. Surely that won’t spiral out of control…. And that’s not all — Wes has a patient that may require leaches in his treatment plan, and Simone and Lucas will share (at least) one scene. Who’s excited for this week’s Grey’s Anatomy?
