Roswell seems to be the show that we need to commit to this fall, if it gets picked up. But judging by the casting that is going on – we need this TV show like yesterday.
We know that casting isn’t an easy process, but we are thinking that they are taking extra care with this, because they know that they have something great on their hands. Yesterday, casting was rounded out and we’re IN LOVE.
Nathan Parsons, Lily Cowles, Michael Vlamis, Tyler Blackburn and Heather Hemmens have been added to the cast as series regulars opposite Jeanine Mason in the reboot of the series that has an immigration twist.
Nathan will play Max, a police officer who has done a great job at keeping his origin a secret. Lily will play Isobel, who lives in a small town, but should be in the big city. She’s that peppy as shit small town girl though. She conceals her identity with grace. Michael will play a character named Michael. That will be easy to remember. He’s survived a shitty life and just wants to find a way off earth.
But who will Blackburn play? Sgt. Alex Manes, a vet returning from the middle east. He’s abandoning his beliefs to be the kid his father wants him to be and that includes giving up the man that he loves. Heather will play Liz’s best friend.
Carina Adly MacKenzie wrote the reboot and it’ll be directed by Julie Plec. The re-imagined Roswell is based on the Roswell High book series by Melinda Metz.
No word on if the series will be picked up, but they are in New Mexico now, shooting the Pilot.
