The Freeform upfronts are just the gift that keeps on giving. Not only did the network announce the premiere dates for seven of it’s summer series, they also announced their intentions to revisit the show Greek. Can you believe it?
Greek: The Reunion has been put into development, according to the network. The movie is set to bring back the characters from the original TV series for their five-year reunion at Cypress Rhodes University. The series, which ran from 2007 to 2001 originally followed students from this university who participated in the school’s “Greek system,” with many of it’s plot revolving around fictional fraternities Kappa Tau Gamma (ΚΤΓ) and Omega Chi Delta (ΩΧΔ), and the fictional sorority Zeta Beta Zeta (ΖΒZ).
Scott Michael Foster, Clarke Duke, Spencer Grammer, Paul James, Amber Stevens Jacob Zachar and Jake McDormand originally stared in the series. No word yet as to who’ll be returning for the movie, though it was announced that series creator Patrick Sean Smith, along with series executive producers Lloyd Segan and Shawn Piller will executive produce the movie.
Though an air date wasn’t confirmed, the feature is expected to air around the holidays.
