While Suicide Squad is still months away from its debut, Warner Bros. is already plotting a spinoff starring one of its more well-known anti-heroes.
According to The Hollywood Reporter, Warner Bros. is contemplating a Harley Quinn ensemble movie starring and produced Margot Robbie, who will play the quirky blonde in Suicide Squad.
But here’s the fun thing: it won’t be a solo film for Harley. It’ll be more like a female hero and villain team-up. Think of it as an all-female DC’s Legends of Tomorrow with Harley Quinn at the center with this grouping of female heroes and villains.
“In an interesting twist, the project is not a Quinn solo movie. Rather, it would focus on several of DC’s female heroes and villains, with names such as Batgirl and Birds of Prey surfacing,” THR says.
All I know is that they had me at “Harley Quinn” and “Birds of Prey.”
You can catch Robbie as Harley Quinn in Suicide Squad this August.
