Charles Melton Replaces Ross Butler On ‘Riverdale’

We knew that the recasting of Reggie on Riverdale was coming, but we weren’t sure when it was coming. Well, we can tell you, that it has happened. We have a new Reggie.

We’re excited about it.

Charles Melton who we remember from Glee, has been cast as the loud mouth asshole who is always in constant arguments with Archie.

But why the recast of Butler? Simple. He’s in demand and because of his commitment to projects, Riverdale was unable to use him as much as the wanted to. Which hey, we get it. Butler also stars in Netflix’s 13 Reason Why, which has been renewed for it’s second season.

Butler took to Twitter and thanked the producers for keeping Reggie’s character, Asian American.
