Hulu announced today that Alexis Bledel will be returning to The Handmaid’s Tale season two as a series regular. Bledel has been hailed for her work in season 1 of The Handmaid’s Tale as a recurring character.
Bledel plays Ofglen, a lesbian Handmaid, who isn’t afraid to stand up to the power at be in Gilead. She appeared in five episodes during season 1 and now with a series regular arc slated for season 2, the possibilities are endless.
While Bledel didn’t appear much in season 1, her work has allowed her to shed her Rory Gilmore persona. Particularly with the season one episode “Late,” where she barely uttered a single word.
The series will return with a 13 episode season two next year.
