BBC America’s Killing Eve To Premiere April 8

We love Sandra Oh. We’ve missed having Sandra Oh in our TV screens. And now, Sandra Oh is coming back to BBC America, with Killing Eve, which is set to premiere April 8th at 8/7c.

The show, which seems to be a complete departure from the Cristina Yang we know and love Oh for, sees her playing a bored MI5 security officer who dreams of being a spy. But being a spy is not all it’s cracked up to be – or is it?

Killing Eve is the thunder of empowered women working in front of and behind the camera – created,  developed, produced by, and starring enormously talented women in genre roles traditionally ascribed to men.  Starring Sandra Oh and Jodie ComerKilling Eve centers on two women; Eve (Oh) is a bored, whip-smart, pay-grade MI5 security officer whose desk-bound job doesn’t fulfill her fantasies of being a spy. Villanelle (Comer) is a mercurial, talented killer who clings to the luxuries her violent job affords her. Penned by Phoebe Waller-Bridge (Fleabag) and based on the novellas by Luke Jennings, Killing Eve will follow these two women, equally obsessed with each other, as they go head to head in an epic game of cat and mouse.

The series also stars  Fiona Shaw (Harry Potter, True Blood), Kirby Howell-Baptiste (Downward Dog), Kim Bodnia (The Bridge) and David Haig (Four Weddings and a FuneralPenny Dreadful). Further cast includes Darren BoydSean Delaney and Owen McDonnell.
