Well, well surprises happen.
When it comes to Looking For Alaska, we’re always hesitant. Why? Well, because how many times has it been that something was going to happen and then nothing did? Well that would be too many times to count.
But it looks like Hulu is actually moving forward with the limited series, setting Kristine Froseth (Sierra Burgess is a Loser) and Charlie Plummer (Lean on Pete) as the leads in the series.
The limited series is due to last eight episodes.
Looking For Alaska is told through the eyes of Miles “Pudge” Halter, who enrolls in a boarding school – as one does – to change his life. He develops a crush or you know falls in love with Alaska Young, who passes away untimely. He’s gotta look into her death to find the truth and make sense of it.
I mean it’s not something I would do, but hey – it’s what makes a good story.
Josh Schwartz wrote the pilot and will serve as executive producer and showrunner. Stephanie Savage executive produces with Jessica Tuchinsky, Mark Waters, Green and Marty Bowen and Isaac Klausner of Temple Hill.
