All good things come to an end, and as we’re learning with this cancellation, all bad things do too.
Look, I can understand the fact that Pretty Little Liars: The Perfectionists was made. I mean, who didn’t think that they were filling a void that was left by the end of Pretty Little Liars. It seemed like a sure fire hit.
But the reality, it was the wrong thing at the wrong time.
Why do I say that? Pretty Little Liars fans had had their fill. We were all ready for PLL to end. We needed time to mourn, to move past. The studio needed time in between to let a whole new set of people want to want to enter the world.
The writing wasn’t bad. The story had possibilities.
The Perfectionists featured PLL stars Sasha Pieterse and Janel Parrish. It followed three college friends, “who struggled with the stress of being overachievers in the picturesque town of Beacon Heights on top of trying to solve the murder of Nolan Hotchkiss.”
The Perfectionists also starred Sofia Carson, Sydney Park, Eli Brown, Hayley Erin, Graeme Thomas King and Kelly Rutherford.
The show has already finished its run.
