5 Books ‘The Umbrella Academy’s Klaus Would Read in Preparation for Season 2

In preparation for season 2 of The Umbrella Academy, and because we need to fill spots on Sundays, I’ve made the executive decision to put together a list of books that characters from currently airing, coming soon, or finished airing ages would actually read. Strap in because things are going to get weird for Klaus Hargreeves, played by Robert Sheehan, and what he’d read!

1. Stop Talking, Start Influencing: 12 Insights From Brain Science to Make Your Message Stick

Why: Klaus starting a cult felt like an unavoidable thing if you really think about season 1 of The Umbrella Academy and how people on Twitter fell in love with his sass, general manner, and how great he looks in skirts! Hell, I’d follow him!

2. Esquire Dress Code: A Man’s Guide to Personal Style

Why: Klaus has this way about him that looks effortlessly messy but also like he did it on purpose. Just look at him now in the picture below. It’s the end of the world and he still looks effortlessly put together in a post apocalyptic world kind of way.

3. The Rough Guide to India

Why: If you’re going to visit another country with a bucket load of followers, you might as well hit up the most popular spots in India and get to know more than the Ganges River. From the Taj Mahal to the leopards in Kanha National Park, there’s more to explore!

4. The Curly Hair Book: Or How Men Can Now Rock Their Waves, Coils And Kinks

Why: Look at him and his flawless looking hair! You’re telling me that it’s just natural and something that happens magically after a drunken night? I don’t believe it and won’t believe it! Klaus probably has a secret routine that he doesn’t tell anyone about to give us that look!

5. This Naked Mind: Control Alcohol, Find Freedom, Discover Happiness & Change Your Life

Why: Klaus falling into the bottle again wasn’t much of a surprise in the season 2 trailer of The Umbrella Academy. He struggles with demons that plague him nightly and has a ghost brother that only he can see. That’s bound to twist anyone up. And that’s exactly why he needs this book more than anyone else.

The Umbrella Academy season 2 premieres July 31st on Netflix.
