Hello my fellow naughty book lovers, have I got some exciting news for you! The Naughty Books documentary is coming to a screen near you. Back in March, I did a piece on this documentary which explores the world of romance writing.
Directed by Austen Rachlis, the Naughty Books documentary will give us an in depth look at the lives of three self-published authors; Kelli Maine (Give & Take series), and Kristen Proby (With Me In Seattle Series), and one of my personal favorites, CJ Roberts (The Dark Duet). Not only will we get to see the highs of it but, also the lows. Romance writing has become a very popular genre and it keeps growing. There are so many authors out there which has made being a Romance author such a competitive field.
This documentary will shed a light on the financial strains some of the authors have faced because a lot more goes into being a writer than we think. As a reader, I am looking forward to learning more about this, and the authors I support. One of the other things I am most looking forward to is seeing all of the footage from the book conventions.
Unless you’re in the reading world, you really don’t know much about books cons or how they work. I’m a lover of book cons and since this pandemic began, many of my favorites were either canceled entirely or postponed until next year. One of my absolute favorite book cons that had its final run last October was Authors in the OC. Naughty books will feature one of these events from a few years back.
Naughty Books documentary will be available to purchase on October 6th and to rent on October 13th across digital, cable, and satellite platforms. You can pre-order it here.
