I knew that it was coming, but anticipation doesn’t make cancellation any easier. The Order has been cancelled by Netflix, and I only just found out. It’s been almost a week since it was announced, and I only found out because of a random tweet on my timeline. I figured it was only a matter of time after the renewals of Space Force, Emily in Paris, and The Umbrella Academy.
The Order premiered in 2019 and ran for two seasons on Netflix. The first season dropped in March last year and the second was added to Netflix in June of this year.
I was looking forward to what was coming next from my favorite werewolves. Creator, writer, and executive producer of The Order, Dennis Heaton did offer some insight to what would happen in a third season.
The Order joins the ranks of Spinning Out and Daybreak as Netflix shows Gone Too Soon. It will be getting its own article soon. Reviews for the first and second seasons of The Order can be found here.
