Fangirlish isn’t the only place for good content – not even close. So starting in 2021, we’re going to be doing a weekly recap of stuff you should be reading … from some of our favorite sites. We’re going to be focusing – when possible – on diverse creators and especially on women, because if we believe in something, is supporting each other. This list encompasses the week from January 17th to January 22nd.
So, if you ever wonder what the Fangirlish writers are reading about, we’ve got the list right here for you:
The United States has a new President! Hallelujah.
One with empathy. Compassion. A working knowledge of words.
And some groundbreaking and diverse Cabinet nominees.
During the ceremony, Amanda Gorman blew us all away.
The Inauguration memes were strong, but nothing quite like the Bernie memes.
And the fashion was also strong. Jonas Brothers strong.
Feels like now we can breathe again, right? Time to focus on ourselves. Self care, self care, self care. And, of course, time for laughter.
Larry King passed away, after being hospitalized for COVID-19. We should all take a moment to honor not just him, but all the people we’ve lost to this horrible disease.
And, of course, a moment to mask up. Sometimes doubly so.
Have you watched Wonder Woman 1984? Processed it? Read Katie’s thoughts on it, whether you liked it or not.
Dolly Parton celebrated a birthday this week, and if you don’t love Dolly, then you don’t know Dolly.
Have a great week, everyone!
