Do I listen to everything that Meghan Markle and Prince Harry do? Yes. Yes I do. I won’t even make excuses about it or be ashamed of it, because it is what it is and like YOLO.
I was really excited to watch Harry’s interview with James Corden because the two have a natural conversation and it doesn’t feel like some uncomfortable and uptight shit that I would like to never have to look at again.
It was a great interview that covered all sorts of topics and felt very honest and real.
Sure, the details of why he left the royal family, raising his son, and zooming with his Grandparents was captivating stuff. I loved learning about his life and you could see his love for his family.
That all being said, I have to admit that one of my favorite parts of the interview was when Harry talked about The Crown.
Whatever, you know we’re trash for the show.
“They don’t pretend to be news. It’s fictional, but it’s loosely based on the truth. Of course, it’s not strictly accurate,” Harry said when asked about the Netflix show.
He continued, “It gives you a rough idea of what that lifestyle, what the pressures of putting duty and service above family and everything else, what can come from that. I’m way more comfortable with The Crown than I am seeing the stories written about my family, or my wife, or myself. It’s the difference between… that is obviously fiction, take it how you will, but this is being reported on as fact because you’re supposedly news. I have a real issue with that.”
I appreciated his candidness and willingness to talk about things that most Royals would never talk about. What was your favorite part of the James Corden and Prince Harry interview?
