This week’s 9-1-1 4×07 “There Goes the Neighborhood” was all about neighbors. Pretty much everyone has had a bad experience with neighbors once or twice, but “There Goes the Neighborhood” shows that some can be much worse than others. And one neighbor seriously creeped us out.
Let’s start with Buck, since this was one of the funniest parts of the episode. Buck went on a terrible first date. We’ve all been there. Nothing Buck said was right, and you could tell he was very uncomfortable. Even though we want Buck to have a girlfriend, it was kind of nice that even someone as great as Buck has bad dates. Unfortunately for him, this girl lives in his apartment building.
He does try to mend things and brings her a piece of cheesecake as a peace offering, but it turns out she’s already moved on. With Albert. Yikes. But don’t give up hope Buck. We’re sure there’s a perfect woman out there for you.

Michael’s neighbor creeped us out. This story was hilarious at first because Michael used the telescope to spy on the neighbors. He thinks it’s weird that his neighbor has so much trash, and his instincts were right. He has so much trash because he’s doing surgery in his apartment! We loved that Bobby was all in and helped Michael figure out what was going on.
Can we have more missions with Bobby, David, and Michael? We’re glad that Michael wasn’t hurt when he snuck into the apartment, and we’re relieved they found the girl who was being operated on. Usually, we wouldn’t condone spying on your neighbors, but in this case, it saved a life.
Hen’s mother also visits in “There Goes The Neighborhood.” Hen has mixed feelings about her mother living with her family. Hen overhears her mother saying she thinks Hen may be too old for med school which definitely hurts. But we’re glad Hen reached out when she found out her mom was living in her car, and they had a nice talk. We hope they can work things out and they give under one roof in peace.
Other Thoughts:
- It was great watching Buck and Eddie try to capture the turkey. Was it a little overdramatic? Maybe. But we’ll watch Buck and Eddie do pretty much anything together.
- We didn’t expect people to have blood pooling from their eyes at the beginning of the episode. But this is 9-1-1.

- For a minute we thought Michael might be imagining the woman lying on the table covered in blood. Which would mean his tumor came back. Luckily, the woman was real, and Michael is fine!
