Hello, Nancy Drew Fans! This week we are treated with more of the Boppsey twins! Were you all as excited to see the twins work with the Drew crew as much as I was? I thought I might have caught a spark between Gil and Nancy, but more on that later. George is still possessed by Odette who insults Nick left and right, which is hilarious to ME! Nick cannot catch a break!
Bess is still depressed about being exiled from her family, I want to tell her to get over it, she will be fine. It’s not like she even knew them that long anyway. Ace is crushing hard on Amanda Boppsey and it’s kinda cute, I can support this relationship. There is a lot to discuss on this week’s Nancy Drew, “The Bargain of the Blood Shroud” so let’s get to it shall we.
Who Stole the Blood Shroud
Who the hell stole the damn shroud? Freaking Gil Boppsey that’s who! That damn thief! Gil stole the shroud from George’s locker in order to resurrect the man he thinks murdered his mother years ago. Wait, how does Gil know about the shroud and it’s powers? Does Nancy need to hire him and put him on a retainer? Gil is handsome but such a selfish asshole sometimes.
I love that he adores his twin sister and he looks out for her, and I also get that he has DEEP family issues and he’s troubled, BUT Gil, you cannot go around stealing things. Especially don’t steal the one thing that is keeping George alive.
Nancy agree’s to work with Gil and help him find his mothers killer, in exchange for him giving up the shroud. Listen, these two can team up anytime. They were hilarious together.
Gil has no patience and he undid a parking break on a car, in order to create a distraction so he and Nancy could break into a house. That is kinda genius when you think about it. Nancy does not appreciate his ingenuity however, but oh how the sparks did fly when they stood close together. It’s HOT, and I am here for whatever these two want to do together.
Gil is determined to make things right by his mom and misses her terribly. Nancy understands his grief, even though his actions are misguided. Turns out, the guy Gil thought murdered his mom all those years ago, is legally blind and has been for decades. However, this man also has a secret room full of paintings of Gil’s mom with a fire demon lurking behind every corner. Weird right? Nancy thinks so.
Nancy recognizes that in order to find out what really happened to Gil’s mom, they need to dig deeper than the human realm. Nancy is just embracing the supernatural now, and I love it.
Nancy you live on a Hellmouth, if someone comes up missing or dies mysteriously, always blame the supernatural. ALWAYS.
Dear Odette, It’s Time For You To Go
Hi writers, please for the love of God, wrap this Odette storyline up. It’s getting old.
I’m tired of seeing George jump back and forth between her French accent and her real one. Besides Odette throwing shade at Nick, I like nothing about her. Yes, Odette we know you lost the love of your life years ago, because you were murdered. But like, it was 100 years ago and your lady love is no longer alive, so move on. Go be with her in the afterlife. I don’t care.
I need for Nancy to concentrate all of her skills on figuring out how to get rid of Odette but keep George in tact, recruit Gil if you have to Nancy! The only highlight of George and Odette was when Odette was about to send George tumbling over a cliff to her death and Nick and Bess stepped in to stop her.
Meanwhile, thanks to Ace, Gil and Amanda find out that their mother is still alive! Ruh-Ro. Ms. Boppsey was never murdered at all she just went crazy because of that fire deamon and went off the grid in order to protect her children.
Ace finds out she lives in Sante Fe and even offers to drive Amanda there to see her, if she wants. Ace is such a good guy, so don’t blow it Amanda. Guys, now we have several plot twists to flesh out this season. Firstly, Odette is like a bedbug, hard to eradicate. Second, Gil and Amanda’s mom has dealt with a demon before and might prove useful to Nancy and the crew if they locate her, AND last but not least, Gil and Nancy will be having lots of sex soon. Like Really Soon.
