I recently binge watched the Netflix series Behind Her Eyes and I am still trying to process what I saw. For those of you who are not familiar with it, here’s what it’s about:
Louise (Simona Brown), a single mother enters a world of twisted mind games when she begins an affair with her psychiatrist boss David (Tom Bateman) while secretly befriending his mysterious wife Adele (Eve Hewson).
Based on the book by Sarah Pinborough, Behind Her Eyes is a wild ride and I am still not over it. I heard about it from my coworker and now that I’ve watched it, I had to put a list together of 6 reasons you should watch.
The Cast

Every single one of these cast members was incredible and they worked so well with each other. Throughout Behind Her Eyes, they each have to showcase a different side of themselves based on who they are with. All three of their characters are living secret lives and they do a great job of bringing their emotions out.
You think you know the answer, but you don’t

Seriously, the entire time I watched Behind Her Eyes, I had no idea what to think. Every time I thought I had it figured out, I was totally wrong. You’re going to keep asking yourself who the bad guy is. Is it Adele? is it David? who has the problem and what exactly is the problem? There is so much more to this than a man having an affair.
What is the deal with Rob?

Rob is one of Adeles best friends. They met during her time at a rehabilitation center. Adele and Rob bond over their struggles and he is her motivation for getting well enough to leave and be with David. The two of them are super close but just how close are they? you’ll have to watch to find out.
Tom Bateman and Simona Brown

Simona Brown and Tom Bateman are so hot together onscreen. Both of these actors are nice to look at and their chemistry is absolutely electric. While I enjoy their sweet interactions together, the sex scenes between them are incredibly hot.
You’ll think differently about befriending strangers

After you finish watching Behind Her Eyes, you may rethink becoming friends with strangers. When Louise meets Adele, she instantly becomes clingy. Adele is lonely and craves interaction with someone other than David.
Because Louise feels guilty, and senses how lonely Adele is, she spends a great deal of time with her and they bond over their sleep issues. Louise suffers from night terrors and because Adele has suffered from the same thing, she offers her ways to cope with, and take control of it. She gives her a journal Rob used to write in because she thinks it will help her.
That twist

Just when you think you have the entire series figured out, you will be in for a twist you did not see coming. I was totally mind blown but I did figure something out just before the reveal came. Not giving anything away at all but I will say this, I am still mad about how it ended.
