This week’s 9-1-1 was intense. 9-1-1 4×13 “Suspicion” started off with a bridezilla, but then moved to a mentally unstable mother, and ended with a marriage falling apart and one of our favorites in danger. Is it just us, or does it seem like we’re always worried about one of these characters?
“Suspicion” begins with a furious bride who tries to figure out which of her bridesmaids wrote bad things about her and her wedding online. She even had a polygraph machine. Talk about being over the top. While trying to get the polygraph to work, she sets the room on fire and electrocutes herself. Her dress goes up in flames, her hair looks like a rats nest, and she’s missing an eyebrow. She completely loses it and throws a huge fit, and it looked like Chim, Eddie, and Buck enjoyed this show a little too much.
The next call in “Suspicion” was to Shelia, who managed to get trapped in her balcony. At first, she seems like a caring mom who is just wants to take care of Charlie, her son, who is sick with an autoimmune disease. But something seems off about her. They find she has several go-fund-me pages in multiple states and discovers she is poisoning Charlie. Obviously, she needs serious help. What kind of mother poisons their child? We hope that Charlie can recover, not only physically, but emotionally as well. He’s going to need a lot of therapy to overcome what his mom did to him.

Also, can we just say that if we ever need rescuing, can we make sure that Eddie is the one that shows up? We’re kind of jealous that Shelia got to spend so much time with him.
After Eddie and Buck rescue Charlie, we hear a gun and Eddie gets shot. Buck can’t get to him and has to watch as Eddie lays on the ground and blood pooling out of him. We just want to say this: if they kill off Eddie, then we’re never going to forgive the writers. Eddie and Buck’s bromance is one of the best (if not THE best) and we just can’t image Christopher having to grow up without a dad. Nope. Eddie’s going to make it. That’s just all there is to it.
Eddie isn’t the only one in danger in “Suspicion”. It looks like Athena and Bobby’s marriage may be in trouble. We understand that Athena was worried about Bobby, but she didn’t trust him and followed him to his meeting. Has he ever given her a reason not to trust him? These two need to figure out a way to communicate better or their marriage may be over. And we definitely don’t want that to happen.
Other Thoughts:
- We hope that the doctor that treated Hen’s mom learns something from this. He was lucky that Hen and her friends discovered what was wrong with Hen’s mom and was able to save her in time.
- Can someone check on Maddie? She definitely needs help or someone to talk to at the very least. It looks like she could be suffering from post-partum depression? Hopefully she can get help before something bad happens to her or her daughter.
Next week is the season finale, and we’re a little nervous to see what happens. We can’t believe the season is over already!
Agree? Disagree? What did you think about “Suspicion”?
