Lucifer Season 5B is now a reality! As you already have the review, we’re going to sit here to choose 5 scenes that you can’t miss from each episode, either because they are essential for the development of the episode or because they’re the ones we like the most because, after all, this is our list. It’s the turn of Lucifer 5×13 “A Little Harmless Stalking”.
DECKERSTAR IS BACK!

Finally! After episode 9, we were dying for this. DECKERSTAR IS BACK! Let’s Dance! Of course this scene had to be in 5 scenes you can’t miss.
But, after the dance, let’s analyze the scene a bit. Chloe finally opens up with Lucifer and confesses that she needs to know what is happening with them, she can live without him saying those words but not in that limbo they are in. It’s tearing her apart, it’s emptying her inside and Trixie is in the middle of it and she’s hurting too. Perhaps, she could bear to be tearing on the inside but she is not going to let this get to Trixie.
At all times, Chloe’s voice is shaky … because here she is. It’s the time for the truth. She could lose the love of her life in that moment and she doesn’t know … she doesn’t know if she could recover from this, she doesn’t know if she could lose him and move on. She hardly thinks about it and she already feels a broken heart and an emptiness in her chest that doesn’t let her breathe and consumes everything. But she has to do it. For Trixie, for herself. They can’t go on like this.
So Chloe has the ovaries to go there, confess what she feels. She has the ovaries to step in front of the love of her life and do what is best for her. Even if that means losing him. And Lucifer’s face … he really wants to say those words to her, he really wants to be the man she deserves, to love her as she deserves.
And he loves her, he loves her so much … and she loves him. She is here, in front of him, telling him, exposing her heart, her soul, for him. What the hell? Time to get carried away. It’s time to be together, no matter what else. So the doubts, the fears are over … they just have to live what they feel. That’s why that kiss finally feels good again, finally it feels natural again, finally lets them breathe again.
I love them. I love you so much. And I love this scene because on the one hand it is like that, it is something simple, natural. They love each other, nothing else matters, why won’t they be together? But, on the other hand, they have problems. Lucifer doesn’t feel worthy of her and that is not going to go away, on the contrary. Lucifer still needs to understand that he doesn’t need to be anyone else or something else, Chloe loves him as he is.
She fell in love with the man who was hurt, broken, the man damaged but who always gives everything he has, even if they are pieces, for the ones he loves. He always sacrifices himself for others, no matter what. She fell in love with him, everything about him, including the hardest, most damaged, most broken parts. He doesn’t need to fix himself for her, she loves those damaged parts of him simply because they are part of him.
“I DON’T WANT TO BE AFRAID”

Mazeve! I had a hard time choosing their scene for our 5 scenes you can’t miss list. There’re so good! But I think that last one is the one that breaks us the most. Eve arrived ready to get Maze back … Eve broke her heart and Maze was afraid to open up to her again, to expose herself like that, part of her doesn’t trust Eve to stay this time. And she was angry, of course she was, Eve made her suffer like no one before and she just left, abandoned her.
But all that changes when Maze is about to lose Eve again. Maze saw death too close to her, saw the sparkle in her eyes disappear and she had never felt more fear in her entire life. She doesn’t want to feel something like that again, she doesn’t want to lose her again. She is there, right next to her, opening her heart … Maze can only trust. She would rather do it than lose her again, feeling her slip through her fingers was too much for her.
You never know what you got until you loses it … and in Maze’s case when she’s about to lose it. She wasn’t sure about Eve but when she saw her almost die in front of her eyes, her fears went out the window. Maze is never going to let Eve escape her or lose her again.
So Maze joins her at the hospital, it’s time to take that leap of faith. The fears and doubts are over. She wants to be with Eve too. And that kiss of theirs has given me life … to later take it from me. Maze is so scared … that it’s that fear that speaks for her when she asks Eve to be immortal. Only Eve doesn’t want to and it’s her decision.
What they have is so real that it is scary but the possibility of getting lost is what makes them live, that they really live as if there was no tomorrow. For Eve, immortality means letting life go but not living it. And she wants to live it with Maze, until the end. Only Maze can’t do it … her fear takes over and she would rather lose Eve now than she suffer for losing her after.
It is the simplest, most … self-preservative option. She now she will suffer, yes, but Maze had already started to get used to a life without Eve, what will it be like if they live a lifetime together and she abruptly loses her? Maze couldn’t survive that so she prefers not to go through it.
But … this option … this option doesn’t allow Maze to really live her life, just go through it but she will never be fully happy if she lets fear take over. And she will get there, she will come to that conclusion … but not now.
“YOU ARE SO SELFISH AND EGOCENTRIC”

Ouch. That hurt. It hurt like hell. Lucifer was selfish and self-centered at first – and maybe a little bit now, sometimes – but he learned and grew so much. He cares for the ones he loves so much … he is able to give his whole life for them, everything he has.
And he will always be on their side, always, even if he doesn’t think they are right. But Linda here was scared, angry and she needed to scream, she needed to blame someone and Lucifer seemed like the perfect target.
Sometimes we just need to vent all our anger, all our frustration about something or someone who is there. And Lucifer is there. And he’s willing to be her punching bag without saying anything to her, even if those words hurt, he understands.
He understands that Linda didn’t want to hurt him and that she doesn’t really mean what she says. So he takes the hit from her and is there for her. He doesn’t matter here, she matters, only her. We’ve come so far with Lucifer … I’m proud. I’m super proud.
And when Linda realizes that Lucifer and Chloe, that they are all there, for her, even if they don’t believe that Adriana is innocent but they continue investigating because she believes that Adriana is innocent … that moves her to tears. She has a family. And they will be there for her. Always.
“YOU FEEL UNWORTHY”

Linda and Lucifer is like family looks like. I swear. No matter what was said above, it’s forgotten. That fight … everything. Lucifer doesn’t hold a grudge against her and he doesn’t need an apology and she knows she doesn’t have to give it to him because he won’t take it into account.
But this scene is super important. It had to be on our 5 scenes you can’t miss list. Lucifer just wanted to check that Linda was okay after all this. He just wanted to know how she felt, especially after meeting her daughter.
Her daughter … why doesn’t she tell Adriana the truth? Why does she prefer to only look at her from afar when she could have her in her life? But Linda just can’t. The excuse she tells herself is that it is Adriana who must decide but the truth is that she is afraid that Adriana will reject her, that she will throw in her face for having abandoned her and she doesn’t want Linda in her life because Linda feels that she doesn’t deserves that Adriana gives her a chance.
So she prefers to look at her from afar, at a safe distance. Not that she has a relationship with her but at least she can be aware of her life but that it’s not healthy. But if anyone understands it is Lucifer. And here we get to the root of the problem between Deckerstar.
All Lucifer wants is to let Chloe in, is to be next to her, with nothing between them, without any walls, just him, naked, damaged, broken, put back together. But she is so perfect, she is so bright, so bright and he is so broken, he has lived so long in the shadows that he feels he doesn’t deserve her, he feels like he is Icarus and he is getting too close to the sun … without deserve it. So he tries to fight to deserve her, to deserve her love, to deserve to be in her life. With every fiber of him.
And with every fiber of him he struggles not to feel that way, so unwhorty. But he can’t help how he feels, he can’t help but feel that Chloe deserves someone better than him and that he must fight to be the man she deserves, without realizing that he already is.
Linda’s feelings are similar. She feels that she doesn’t deserve a chance with Adriana, that she doesn’t deserve that she forgive her and let her into her life and know her.
And neither of them realize that it is not the decision of either of them but of Adriana and Chloe. They cannot tell them what to feel or what is best for them. But fear speaks for both of them here.
“YOU ARE MY MOTHER”

This scene is beautiful. Adriana has the intelligence of her mother and she realized that there was something strange about that couple that she came to see a house once. And … Linda and she look a lot alike, Linda is of age. It could be possible? There was just something she told her that she had found her, that she had found her mother.
Watching Linda at police station made the last piece of the puzzle fit so she dared to go to her, to go see her. Adriana is there, in front of Linda and is now or never. Linda must overcome her own fear of being rejected, of her daughter claiming her for giving her up for adoption, for abandoning her. It’s time to take off her mask and stop being the stalker in the shadows.
She so she does. She takes that step and whatever has to happen. And Adriana just accepts her. She had many years to understand and, after all, she had parents who always loved her, a happy childhood, a great family. She was happy and upon meeting Linda she doesn’t lose a mother, she doesn’t choose between one and the other, but she gains one more mother. One more person who loves her with her life.
Adriana had time to understand why Linda did it and also to forgive her, if she had something to forgive. Now she only has to get to know each other, begin to be part of the other’s life and build a relationship from there.
The moment Adriana takes Charlie in her arms made me cry. Adriana is happy to have a brother and to have the opportunity to meet him but just look at Linda’s face when she sees her two children together. It’s like a dream. Something that she always dreamed of and that she never thought would happen, not even in her happiest fantasies, is happening. And she feels totally happy. Her heart feels so full it could explode.
And these are the 5 scenes that you can’t miss from Lucifer 5×13 “A Little Harmless Stalking.” Stay tuned for the 5 scenes you can’t miss from episode 14 that we will publish tomorrow.
