We’re definitely looking forward to Hungry, the Demi Lovato led television show that follows a, “group of friends who belong to a food-issues group helping one another as they look for love, success and the perfect thing in the fridge that’s going to make it all better.”
Demi Lovato will star in and executive produce the comedy for NBC. Five familiar faces have been added to the pilot and set as series regulars. Anna Akana, Alex Brightman, Ashley D. Kelley, Jay Klaitz and Rory O’Malley are all set to join Lovato.
Akana will play Wednesday (a name we love) who is a trophy wife. It takes a lot out of her and a lot of self control. She’s so in control that she’s out of control and it’s driving her insane. Well her husband too, but it’s about her.
Brightman will play Cooper, a cop. People are surprised that he’s a cop, cause he’s so very sweet and kind. He joined the group to loose weight for his wedding, but shit gets complicated when he falls for Teddy (Lovato’s character).
Kelley is a no nonsense lawyer, Nicole. and a clause in her prenup is the reason that she’s trying to loose weight. Ummm… no ladies, we don’t sign prenups with clauses like that. She is body positive.
Klaitz is Danny. He’s a big guy with a big appetite and lives in the moment and for it. He works in a funeral home and doesn’t mind it. It’s where he grew up and what he knows. It just reminds him that life is short.
And finally there is O’Malley who plays Linus. He’s tired of getting his heart broken, so he wants to loose weight and be the heartbreaker this time.
We’re excited to hear more about the series and can’t wait to see what happens with the show.
