We have a new romantic comedy in our life! This is the new Bella Thorne movie in which math takes an interesting turn. We love romantic movies and we don’t love math so much but the two things together form an explosive tandem in Time Is Up. Want to know more?
Here we go!
As we say, we like letters more than numbers (what a shocker) but the teaser trailer for Time Is Up simply conquered our hearts from the first second. But what is the movie about?
Vivien is a highly accomplished student, with a passion for physics and keen to get into a prestigious American university. She seems to live her own life as a mathematical formula that drives her to look at her own happiness as something to be postponed into the future. Roy, on the other hand, is a troubled and problematic young man who, due to a trauma suffered as a child, sees his desires continually hindered by a past that seems to constantly haunt him. But mathematics too has its variables and as always happens, life manages to weave events together in increasingly surprising and unexpected ways. Indeed, an accident will force our protagonists to come to a stop and reclaim their lives, and finally start living in a present that perhaps will prove to be more exciting than any predefined formula.
Sounds… intriguing, right? We love romantic comedies but the truth is that we never think of formulas when we evoke a love story and Time Is Up does. That is the key. Luckily, there are millions of romantic movies to choose from, but Time Is Up is determined to make its own way within a genre that will never go out of style and is back in the spotlight. And just wait for the teaser…
It is like a train wreck, two different personalities, two completely opposite ways of seeing life, of feeling it … so that when they collide they realize that they are not living and that everything in their lives was too gray until their eyes fell on each other’s.
Time Is Up has certainly earned a spot on our list of must-see movies.
