NCIS: Los Angeles returns next month – yes, next month! – but the pictures from the premiere episode are already here, and they promise the show is picking up right where it left off. Which means more Joelle. Which, eh …I’m still not sure I care about. But Callen apparently does, so here we are.
The pictures also – gasp – show no sign of Deeks, but a LOT of Hetty, which is a win in my book. Season 12 way too Hetty-lite due to the pandemic, and Linda Hunt brings a gravitas to this show no on else ever could, so her return is something to celebrate.
Also, it seems like Callen is finally confronting Hetty about a thing or fifty she should have shared with him before and Roundtree is stuck in Ops?
The synopsis from the episode promises dueling storylines, and more Densi cuteness.
“Subject 17” – While Callen suspects Hetty of keeping secrets about his past and Joelle surfaces in her quest to capture Katya, NCIS must track down an informant whose life is in danger. Also, Kensi and Deeks work to expand their family, on the 13th season premiere of NCIS: LOS ANGELES, Sunday, Oct. 10 (9:00-10:00 PM, ET/PT) on the CBS Television Network and available to stream live and on demand on the CBS app and Paramount+.
Here are the pictures for NCIS: Los Angeles 13×01 “Subject 17”:

NCIS: Los Angeles season 13 premieres October 10th on CBS.
I love the amount of Hetty pics here. :)) Though, I have noticed something in a few of them: She looks pretty sad. 🙁 Either whatever secrets she’s keeping is THAT bad and it’s weighing on her mind, or she’s missing an old friend. (1 of my theories tied to how she’s been feeling the past few years is that she never got over losing Granger).
As thrilled as I am to finally see my favorite platonic relationship on this show back in the same room again for the first time since Season 11’s Fortune Favors the Brave, the thought of there being possible angst irks me. (My guess is that she’ll say something, then Callen will either get confused, or frustrated, or the wrong idea, then he’ll storm off.)
