The world has many, many problems. And Jon Stewart is back to tackle some of them in the new Apple TV+ show The Problem With Jon Stewart, which is set to premiere on September 30th. The show marks a return to current affairs commentary for Stewart, who is perhaps better known for his turn as the host of The Daily Show, which is now hosted by Trevor Noah.
Apple TV+ has released a synopsis for the show, which reads as follows:
The highly anticipated new current affairs series from acclaimed host, writer, producer, director and advocate Jon Stewart, taking a deep dive on the issues affecting us most.
“The Problem With Jon Stewart” is a multiple-season, single-issue series with Stewart in discussion with the people who are impacted by the issue — as well as those who have a hand in creating the impact. Together, they will discuss tangible steps that can lead to a solutionary path forward.
The Apple Original series will also feature a companion podcast that will extend the conversation from each episode, featuring staff members from across the show who will bring us interviews with activists in the space, the facts on the issue, and yes, lots of jokes.
“The Problem With Jon Stewart” series will release new episodes every other week, while the series’ official podcast will introduce new episodes every week on Apple Podcast (where available).
