Stargirl 2×09, “Summer School: Chapter Nine,” marks the show’s first Arrowverse crossover as John Wesley Shipp guest stars as Jay Garrick. This episode is a much-anticipated event, and now we know how it will fold into the rest of the season.
The new JSA did appear at the end of Crisis on Infinite Earths for a brief second as Oliver Queen explained the birth of a new multiverse. “Summer School: Chapter Nine” is the first time another Arrowverse character will come to Blue Valley.
John Wesley Shipp plays the Golden Age version of The Flash as Pat recounts pivotal moments with the JSA and Eclipso. Hopefully, the JSA will find a way to stop history from repeating itself because the JSA’s fight with Eclipso did not end well last time.
Pat’s been hesitant to share a lot about his past, especially with Eclipso, which is understandable considering he lost everyone in one fell swoop. Pat’s past contributes to our excitement and hesitation about the Pat/Sylvester moments waiting for us.
It will be an emotional ride from start to finish because we still have to worry about how Eclipso’s plan unfolds in the present. The promo keeps a lot under wraps about the flashbacks but not the potential reappearance of Neil Jackson as Icicle.
It looks like Cameron is in the Whitmore/Dugan house and not with Courtney. It’s a safe bet that Eclipso is forcing Mike to face his guilt about Icicle. It wouldn’t necessarily be as effective for Mike to see Jordan Mahkent, but it would be for Barbara.
The episode description tells us that Barbara will reunite with someone from her past. Right now, Jordan Mahkent is the only logical option. There have been teases of such happening since Eclipso left the black diamond.
We better buckle up now because “Summer School: Chapter Nine” is going to
