We’re here one more day! Leverage: Redemption 1×14 “The Great Train Job” is the transitional episode before the final big trick. But it’s also the episode where we saw Breanna’s growth. Time for review!
Here we go!
Leverage: Redemption 1×14 “The Great Train Job” is Breanna’s episode for us. There really isn’t much to comment on in this episode beyond what you see. As I always tell you, that’s a bummer when you have to write a review, not a recap. But I decided to talk about Breanna because I just loved everything about her in this episode.
It is the first time we have seen her have a crush with someone. I mean, we knew she was gay but we had never seen more than a comment or two. This changes completely in Leverage: Redemption 1×14 “The Great Train Job” because we see how she has a crush with an incredible woman but…she must lie and betray her to do her job.

In this situation Breanna has to betray her, she has just met her but they might have something that if Breanna betrays her it will end before starting but if she doesn’t, the team will not be able to do justice. Breanna finds herself at a crossroads that leads her to a dead end, she chooses what she chooses, she loses something or someone she cares about.
But Breanna finds the third option in Leverage: Redemption 1×14 “The Great Train Job,” because there is always a third option, and she decides to follow her instincts and trust her. This trusting her instincts is something new for her but the previous time it worked and now she decides to take a risk again … and it also works out well. Something inside Breanna was telling her that she wasn’t into this and she had no idea what was going on. Something about her told Breanna… that she was worth trusting despite not knowing her.
And she was right.

It’s funny how Breanna not long ago protected herself from everyone and didn’t trust anyone, so no one disappointed her or hurt her but since she was with the team, Breanna began to trust and open up more and more, without realizing it, and grew until she overcomes that fear and know that the risk is worth it. Character growth they call it… and we’re truly proud of her.
We can only hope that Leverage: Redemption 1×14 “The Great Train Job” is the beginning of this love story because we already ship them.
That said, was this bridge episode what we needed at the gates of the season finale? Absolutely not. I think they could have done something much more emotional and important for the characters, like a turning point…it’s just what I expected when there are only two episodes left for the season finale.
And here ends our Leverage: Redemption 1×14 “The Great Train Job” review. We will be back tomorrow with a new one! Stay tuned!
