Trolls. Speaking as a person that has been attacked by trolls online, I despise it. It is hurtful to read words that affect you. It’s even more hurtful when the words come from someone you know.
Jayden’s troll is his mama. Turns out that his Mama won’t stop trolling him until he agrees to meet with her. They haven’t spoken in years after a falling out. Lesson learned is that momager is never a good idea. He stressed her out to the point that he has nervous ticks that he can’t control around her.
Jayden is very, very dramatic, and does an interpretive dance to show Chelsea just how bad his Mom has hurt him. I can’t even front on that becauseI can’t always vocalize my pain either.
He agrees to meet with her because he wants the trolling to stop. Chelsea is the only person worried about this situation and Jayden spending time with his Mom. But he says that it will be fine.
Mothers. They are complicated. And Jayden’s Mom is straight up making me crazy just by the lies and the manipulation that she spews at him. She knows that her son wants to be famous and is an influencer. He wants to be part of campaigns and recognized.
So he falls for his Moms shit when she says that she has Nike interested in him. She makes up this big campaign and for him it seems like everything. He’s excited. He’s hopeful. He’s willing to put up with everything.
But when she comes over and gives him the clothes to try on, she talks so much shit to him that I want to slap her for him. But lying to him only makes things worse, until they get better. Jayden is able to find a way to relate to his Mom, but he finally was able to tell her that he just wants his Mom. He doesn’t want her to be his “momager”, he wants his Mom.
It’s something I have seen a lot in Hollywood, friends who have hated their parents not knowing how to draw the line between the business side and the personal side of things.
But you see the excitement for Jayden having his Mom back or hey, for the first time.
Grant on the other hand is freaking out because his Mom’s casseroles may have gone bad and he can’t refreeze them. Ummm… ok. You can tell any midwest mama that your fridge broke and they will remake you a casserole and send it. Mama’s like to feed their kids.
But Grant thinks that he’s gonna eat six casseroles to honor his Mama. And I really admire the dedication that he puts in, but I feel like he needs to take a step back and realize your Mama would not want you to be that sick and no amount of cheese is worth it.
Chelsea jumps in to try and help him, and that’s friendship. Cause there is no one on this earth that could cause me to eat that much cheese. Fuck that.
But that’s Grants heart – it’s a good one. And I can appreciate that.
Claire on the other hand wants everyone to like her new man. They are getting on great and she wants everyone to approve. I get it, you love your friends and you want their opinions. But the opinion that matters most is your own.
And Claire has gotten that approval from everyone but Solona. Solona doesn’t know if she likes him and this bothers Claire. Solona doesn’t get involved in peoples romantic lives – affairs of the heart aren’t her thing.
Solona presses Claire and takes it to the point where Claire thinks that Solona may be scaring him away. I do love that she knows that she has to take it to a certain point in order to get Claire to realize her feelings.
And hey it opens it up to Claire moving on from Grant (cause I am CONVINCED that Claire still likes him).
Growth isn’t easy for anyone, but for all of them, it will be worth it.
