Aurora de Martel is sticking around after this week’s Legacies. Rebecca Breeds is joining the cast for a recurring role this season. E! News confirmed the scoop after “You Will Remember Me” aired. Breeds’ recurring role sets plenty in motion for Legacies.
The latest episode ends with a classic bodyswap, so now Danielle Rose Russell’s Hope Mikaelson is in Aurora’s body, while Aurora is in Hope’s. This will undoubtedly cause problems when Lizzie, who has a newly sharpened stake in hand, comes face to face with “Hope.”
Before this week’s Legacies, the last time Aurora de Martel was on our TVs was the penultimate episode of Season 3 of The Originals. Aurora is of Klaus’ most notable and greatly scorned lovers. She is also the first of Rebekah Mikaelson’s vampire sire line.
Aurora’s life and death and life (again) are irrevocably intertwined with the Mikaelson family.
It’s no wonder she wants some revenge on Klaus via his daughter. It’s reassuring (for Hope’s sake) to know Aurora’s interactions with the Tribrid in this week’s episode are only the beginning.
We wouldn’t be shocked if Aurora finds a way to bring her brother Tristan back, too. Those two were always uncomfortably close. Legacies already brought back two other The Originals cast members this season (Riley Voelkel and Claire Holt).
So, why not one more for old time’s sake? We’re still holding out hope for Candice King to reprise her role as Caroline Forbes.
Nevertheless, that’s a worry for another day. We are more concerned about a weapon that can kill the Tribrid. Hope is unaware of its existence which makes it a blind spot.
It could quickly become a deadly blind spot if it’s in the wrong hands.
Lizzie is determined to end her Hope problem, but there’s still a chance for someone to change her mind. On the other hand, Aurora will not think twice about killing Hope.
Legacies airs Thursdays at 9/8c on The CW.
